History: Kaito wanted to add some cool weaponry to his knightmare and so he scrapped all the MSV blades that were just laying around and reconstructed them into somthing new. They became claw like weapon's for his knightmare that could be shot out like harken slashers or attached for close range assults. it has the power to slice threw and piece the armor used by knightmare frames.

No it doesn't work like that, its entirely laser or its not MSV blade. Thats how they work. They have to have a mass of energy around them for it to be an edge. Like how Kasumi's wings are tipped, if they weren't already energy wings it wouldn't work.
